Iran comedy ‘The Good, the Bad, the Corny 2: Secret Army’ is to get public screening.

Iran comedy movie ‘The Good, the Bad, the Corny 2: Secret Army’ has been set to get public screening soon.

The local theaters that have been closed over the COVID-19 pandemic for some time now, will reopen in Iran on June 21. Peyman Qasemkhani’s comedy flick will be among the first films to get screening slot as soon as the cinemas reopen.

The film which is a sequel to ‘The Good, the Bad, the Corny’ premiered at the 38th Fajr Film Festival and was among the 22 features ran in the main competition section of the event.

A brief synopsis for the flick reads, “Dr. Madani, who runs a counter-revolutionary group which is supervised by Donald Trump. Madani sends Farid on a mission to Iran. Farid is supposed to carry out his mission by setting up a fake film shooting project. He casts Pejman Jamshidi and Sam Derakhshani as the stars of his made-up movie. This casting cannot have desirable results for the filmmaker”.

Besides the actors the stars of ‘Pejman’ series, the new film has Hamed KomeiliGohar kheirandishFarhad Ayish, Amir-Mehdi Juleh, Maral Farjad, Ali Owji and Shakib Shajareh among its cast members.
